I am going to admit that of all the fall themed cards that I have ever crafted, this is my all time favorite fall card! The card was created using one one Cricut cartridge and a single set of stamps: Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge and Close to My Hear Harvest Happiness Stamp set!
The Harvest Stamp set is item #........ in the CTMH catalog. It is not one of the awesome sets that comes with the Art Philosophy but another set that works with/ coordinates with the AP cartridge. There are actually 17 stamps sets that coordinate with the Art Philosophy cartridge. Over the next few weeks I plan to share a few of them with you. We will call the Wednesdays in October CTMH Wednesdays!
The Harvest Happiness stamp set, pictured above, includes 10 acrylic stamps; I used the four stamps on the right to create this card. I used the leaf, the leaf border, the Splendid phrase stamp and the acorn. I really like the CTMH stamps. I like how nicely they stamp, I love the storage envelopes, and I really, really like that the stamps that have corresponding Art Philosophy cuts have the cut size (for use with the stamp) printed on the acrylic overlay!
I like the flourish design of this leaf stamp. One of the sets that comes with the Art Philosophy cartridge has a leaf, but it is a traditional styled leaf. I like the flourishes on this leaf. I cut and stamped three leaves for this card, a mustard colored leaf, an avocado green leaf, and a burgundy and mustard mixed ink leaf.
I cut the acorns at one inch (as indicated on the overlay) but stamped only the top part of the acorn. I liked the two layer acorns, but I also wanted to use the dotted stamp.
I stamped the "Have a Splendid Day" phrase in avocado green on a cream scalloped cut. I then enlarge the scallop cut twice and made two more layers. These layers were mounted on a rusty orange cut over a coordinating chip board piece.
I used the leaf border stamp on the inside of the card. I stamped the image twice, turning 90 degrees and intersecting the corners to create the corner border.
I used pop dots to apply the leaves to the card front. All other elements were applied flat. And again, every piece used on this card was cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge!
